One of the hardest things about writing a book, or some books, or maybe it’s just me… has been to pick a title. To give my book a name. When it finally has a name it’s finally a thing. MY thing. My creation. Picking a name is scary, and easy, and sometimes confusing.
WHERE DO NAMES COME FROM?
For me, a name for most of my projects has risen organically from the book. For example, my Pagan Magick series. It is centred in and around a group of Pagans, practicing magick. Sounds straightforward, right?
What if it’s not?
Silver Horn, due out in 2022, didn’t have a name for the longest time, until I remembered that it was all about a Unicorn… with a Silver Horn. Sounds simple but once the name is there it is there for the lifetime of the book, it lives in your head, and if it’s part of a series it needs to live in the series as well. Which brings me to another point.
Did I see that Silver Horn is a series?
Yes. Yes it is. Our Unicorn Princess’ journey is a twisted one and her mate’s journey is just as difficult. I hope you enjoy the telling!
